Miami Shores Historic Homes
Did you know Miami Shores was originally the Community of Biscayne?! Yup our "Biscayne" name had originally sprouted from this city's land. Just like most Miami neighborhoods, Miami Shores started off as farm land for local pioneers but quickly changed course in the 1920's to rival the development of Coral Gables. The Shoreland company acquired over 2800 acres and planned a Mediterranean waterfront community. The company went under in the Great Depression, but the project was purchased by northerners who allowed different types of architectural styles including Art Deco, Danish, Spanish, and Italian.
